Endurance Sports - Fit Info

Endurance Sports is a running specialty store located in Dayton, Ohio. We have fit runners, walkers, and doctors' patients into the proper shoes and clothes for over 22 years. We believe in fit and we don't believe in running magazine reviews (since these people aren't your identical twin.)

At Endurance Sports we carry about 110 shoe models and we're proud of the work we've done to whittle it down. Our owner (Joe Sargent, has personally performed more than 50,000 shoe fittings and has been a runner since 1973) looks at over 500 models and orders based on the merits of each style.

Fit-

Is the heel counter too wide?
Is the depth of the shoe too deep or shallow?
Is the arch placed correctly?
Is the toe box big enough?

Construction-

Does the shoe flex in the forefoot?
Will the sole wear long enough?
Is the tongue padded or perhaps too long or too short?

Price-

Is the price in line with the features and benefits offered?

Don't be surprised when you find that we don't carry a heavily advertised shoe. We may or may not book a shoe baed on our findings. We will often add or drop a shoe based on reports from our customers.

If you live in the Dayton, Ohio area or West Central Ohio, we recommend that you set aside some time (at least 30 minutes) to come in. Before we recommend a shoe for you, we need to look at your feet and legs and watch you walk and/or run. This gait analysis shall determine any rate of pronation, arch heigth, etc. After going over any injury history, sock choices, and brand history, we can get down to business and bring out the shoes that are right for you. Next, you'll be checking the shoes out on the world famous test course. With your feedback from the test course, you'll find the right shoes for your unique needs. You will be very involved with the whole process!

Our goal is get you out and running injury free on shoes you will love. If all goes well we expect you to wear the shoes out with many miles of good workouts and come back for more!
